LENNON (John): SIGNED COPY 'In His Own Write': London, Jonathan Cape, April 1964 reprint: publishers blue boards, a little rubbed: Signed by John Lennon to front free endpaper in blue ballpoint, with statement of provenance signed and dated by previous owner to a ruled leaf loosely inserted..'in 1964 I was taken by my aunt Dot Dawes to the Foyles Literary lunch where John Lennon was appearing. Dot was large, loud with tightly curled white hair. Many diamond rings decorated her fingers. She bought 6 copies of this book and gave me this one I've always felt that she was the woman spoken about who directed John Lennon 'just to sign'. (1)

A rare late Jacobean tract on the relief of the London poor: we have been unable to trace any copy of this book in auction or library databases. (1)
